LPMS stands for Lean Performance Management System.
It is a process to measure the performance at the shop-floor, to visualize the potentials and to force the continuous improvement activities of management and operators.
LPMS is more than only measuring downtimes, OEE etc. like typical BDE systems do. It is a process that forces the continuous improvement at a company and involves the operators but also the management!
LPMS has four cornerstones where the complete process is focused on:
- Solution of existing problems and setting up of preventive measures
- Setting and controlling of business targets
- Increasing of motivation of all involved people
- Continuous improvement of all processes
LPMS contains three major pillars:
- Measurement of the shop-floor performance in short time cycles
- (Big) Visualization of the results and problems
- Continuous improvement activities based on actions that are defined an daily base
